Inclement Weather Policy

At Kate’s K9 Pet Care, your pet’s safety and well-being are our top priorities—no matter the weather.

Pet Sitting:
We make every reasonable effort to reach your home during inclement weather (including snowstorms, hurricanes, and other severe conditions). However, if road conditions become too dangerous for travel, we will contact you immediately. In such cases, we strongly recommend that clients have a backup caregiver (such as a trusted neighbor) available who can be contacted if we are unable to safely make it to your home.

Dog Walking:
For the safety of both our walkers and your pets, we may modify or cancel walks based on the severity of the weather. Shortened walks, potty breaks, or indoor playtime may be substituted when conditions (such as extreme heat, cold, ice, or lightning) pose a risk. We will always notify you of any changes and ensure your pet’s basic needs are met.

Please make sure we have your best contact info on file and that you’ve shared any emergency contacts in advance.
